Funders and partnerships

We receive valuable support from Charitable Trusts and work in partnership with other organisations to develop and deliver specialist bereavement services for children and their families. We are always looking for new and innovative ways of working with other organisations and we would love to hear from you if you are interested in becoming involved with Winston’s Wish. Please contact the fundraising team on 01242 515157.

The difference you’ll make is priceless – each year we support over 30,000 children and young people, helping them to rebuild their lives after the death of a parent or sibling, enabling them to face the future with confidence and hope.

COPS logo

Care Of Police Survivors (COPS) is the UK charity dedicated to helping the families of Police Officers who have lost their lives on duty to rebuild their lives. Since being founded in 2003, COPS has helped hundreds of families shattered by the loss of their Police Officer. Sadly, on average every year another 10 families suffer a similar tragedy.

While realising the dangers of policing, no officer expects to lose their life on duty. When such a tragedy occurs, the surviving family endures emotions including denial, bewilderment, anger and depression. They also encounter practical difficulties associated with such a sudden loss. COPS aims to ensure that surviving family members have all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy and that they remain part of the Police family.

The partnership with Winston’s Wish enables us to strengthen the support we can provide families.

Help For Heroes

Help for Heroes

Thanks to generous funding from Help for Heroes, we are able to offer specialist support to bereaved children from military families across the UK. Our relationship with Help for Heroes began in 2010 and has allowed us to develop the first dedicated provision for bereaved children of military families. Whatever the circumstances of the bereavement, there are often complexities not experienced in civilian life.  Winston’s Wish has the experience and resources to tailor the right support. Funding has also enabled the production of a specialist support publication for families and professionals called “The family has been informed”.
