These pages are designed for quick access.  You can look up the answers to frequently asked questions during your break time or read tips on how to talk with a bereaved pupil, ideas on group/school memorial activities, and thoughts on how to handle behaviour of an affected pupil.

Strategy For Schools

This is intended to aid the writing of a policy and procedures document.  It can inform policy that already exists, and can be adapted to suit the needs of your school.  It will also be helpful in aiding your response to, and your management of, major disasters and crises within your school.  It includes reproducible letter templates and is based on the expertise and knowledge of practitioners at Winston's Wish, and advice from various schools.

Lesson Aids

Our lesson aids are packed with ideas and tasks. Each plan looks at death and our response to it in a variety of ways, and is referenced to National Curriculum requirements. The plans cover a variey of subjects, and Key Stages 1, 2, 3 & 4.
