Below you can watch 'School Matters - Coping with bereavement', a documentary filmed for Teachers TV showing Winston's Wish working in two Gloucestershire schools. Firstly, Julie Stokes (Founder and Clinical Director) works with Heron Primary school in Gloucester to support a family of three boys following the death of their mum from cancer. Secondly, Brendan McIntyre (Head of Family Services) helps a class of secondary school students come to terms with the sudden death of a fellow pupil who was involved in an accident.
The documentary, which is about 28 minutes long, demonstrates tools that you can use in similar circumstances, and shows how teachers 'on the ground' are the best people to support bereaved children.
Teachers TV has also been shortlisted for a Royal Television Society Award in the Educational TV section.
