In your school
With so many schools having first hand experience of our service, teachers, school staff and pupils are a vital part of our fundraising and one of our biggest group of supporters.
Wear W Day:
This year we will be asking you to support our Wear W Day in aid of Winston's Wish! We ask that you take part in a special day in your school when children are asked to come to school wearing something beginning with the letter W - think wigs, wings, wellies...!
Each child pays £1 to take part and you could even offer a small prize to the child who has been the most creative! A guaranteed fun filled day which also helps raise awareness for our charity.
Charity of the Year:
Another great way to help us is to choose Winston's Wish as your school's Charity of the Year. Having one focus for fundraising in schools is a great way for everyone to feel part of something special and achieve great things.
Schools choosing a charity can then focus their fundraising for that charity throughout the year. If you choose to do so you can pick one week in the year in which you will carry out your main fundraising events. During this time, you could hold an event on stage every lunchtime (a talent show, an auction) along with sponsored sports events, raffles, sales, competitions and quizzes.
School events really are a great way to have fun and to get a whole community, including the children, involved in raising funds for Winston's Wish.
