Winston’s Wish, the leading childhood bereavement charity in the UK, is proud to announce a new partnership with family-run insurance broker Protect Line.

The company has selected Winston’s Wish as its chosen charity and set a target of raising £12,000. Already, 10 brave members of staff have agreed to take the plunge and complete a sky-dive to kick off the fundraising efforts.

Generously, staff have said they are determined to generate as much money as possible and will continue fundraising even if they manage to meet their target.

Protect Line, based in Poole, was founded in 2010 by husband and wife duo Jo and David Brewer. Their small team has now grown to more than 70 employees. Colleagues have been raising money since March through payroll giving and are now masterminding a host of initiatives to ensure they hit their fundraising target.

The company offers non-advised, tailored life insurance products from a wide panel of insurers.  It is an appointed, award winning representative of Tenet Lime – the largest and longest established financial adviser network in the UK.

As life insurance advisors, Protect Line understands how important it is to support bereaved families both emotionally and financially. It was introduced to Winston’s Wish through a personal recommendation from a member of staff.

Toni Taylor at Protect Line said:

“As a company we are thrilled to be partnering with Winston’s Wish. We wanted to do something a bit different in terms of fundraising. We have a lot of adrenaline junkies here at Protect Line and thought sky diving would be the perfect way to do it. This is such a personal achievement for many of us and doing it for such a great cause is a once in a life time opportunity”.

Catherine Ind, Acting Chief Executive at Winston’s Wish, added:

“The team at Protect Line is incredibly passionate about fundraising for us and has said it intends to raise as much as possible. We are so grateful for this support and excited about the partnership. We’ll look forward to cheering on all the skydivers!”

Winston’s Wish helps children and young people rebuild their lives after the death of their mum, dad, brother or sister, enabling them to face the future with confidence and hope. Each year, Winston’s Wish supports more than 40,000 bereaved children and young people through an array of dedicated services.

The money raised by Protect Line will enable Winston’s Wish to continue its work providing therapeutic support to children when they need it most.
